INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI MEETING 2025

REGISTRATION
Program Plan (We reserve the right to change the program)
Day 1: 17th May Saturday - Get together event and visiting of the Semmelweis University
Venue: Semmelweis University, Semmelweis Salon (1085 Budapest, Üllői street 26., 1st floor)
9:00-10:00am Registration
10:00am Opening ceremony
10:00am-12:30pm Roundtable discussion: Semmelweis back and now*
12:30 - 1:30pm Lunch Break (during the lunch break, there will be in-house catering in the lobby)
1:30 - 4:00pm Facultative program
Guided tours to:
1: Basic Medical Science Center (EOK) (location: 1094 Budapest, Tűzoltó street 37-47.)
2: Anatomy Institute (location: 1094 Bp, Tűzoltó street 58.)
3: Central Building (location: 1085 Bp, Üllői street 26.)
4: Dental Center (location: 1088 Bp, Szentkirályi street 47.)
5: Pető Institute (location: 1125 Bp, Kútvölgyi street 6.)
6: Városmajor Clinical Centre (location: 1122 Bp, Városmajor street 68.)
7: McDaniel College Budapest (location: 1071 Bp Bethlen Gábor square 2.)
A total of 4 buses will depart, but due to time constraints, you can only visit one location. No buses will go to the EOK and the Department of Anatomy, as they are located next to each other.
Building tours of Semmelweis University - optional
(bus transportation will be available between locations)
4:00pm Meeting in front of the entrance to the EOK
4:00-4:10pm Briefing, boarding the buses
Gala dinner and After Party
6:00-6:30pm Rector’s welcome speech and presentation about the top achievements of Semmelweis University - with Dr. Béla Merkely, rector of Semmelweis University
6:30-6:45pm Hungarian folk-dancing performance by the folk dance group of Semmelweis University
6:45-8:00pm Gala dinner with live music
8:00-11:00pm Afterparty with live music
Day 2: 18th May Sunday- Cultural Programs in Budapest
10:00-12:00am Guided visiting of the Buda Castle and Semmelweis Museum
(bus transportation will be available between locations)
Danube lunch cruise
12:30-1:00pm Welcome and registration - Please arrive on time, as the boat will depart from the port at 1:00 PM. There will be no possibility to wait longer, as this is not the only boat using the port. Thank you for your cooperation!
1:00-3:00pm Lunch combined with a sightseeing boat cruise
Participation cost:
The event is free for the alumni of Semmelweis University.
If you are arriving with guests, they need to buy tickets.
A ticket for the alumni's guest costs 100 euro / person.
